The Federation finally has momentum. After Operation Odessa, Zeon forces are scattered across the globe, and ground troops fan out to hunt down the stragglers. Ensign Shiro Amada gets shipped to Southeast Asia to lead the 08th MS Team, a ragtag squad of Gundam Ground Type pilots. Their first job sounds simple enough: cause a distraction while other units track down a mysterious new Zeon weapon. Then a skirmish goes sideways and Shiro comes face to face with Aina Sahalin, a Zeon ace he crossed paths with once before. Something about seeing her again gets under his skin. Suddenly the orders feel heavier, the trigger harder to pull. Now his own people are watching, waiting for him to prove which side he is on. A commander who hesitates is a traitor. So what happens when the enemy pilot you cannot stop thinking about is the one you are ordered to destroy?
