Tekkaman Blade

The year is 2300, and Earth is losing. Alien creatures called the Radam swarm the planet, and nothing humans throw at them sticks. Then, months into the invasion, a lone figure appears. He calls himself Blade, and he can do what no soldier can: take the fight straight to the enemy. The Space Knights give him a place at their side and someone to watch his back. Here is the strange part. Blade never explains where he came from. He avoids the question, changes the subject, vanishes when it gets too personal. Whatever he knows about the Radam, he keeps locked up tight, and the people fighting beside him start to notice the gaps. So the Space Knights have a weapon they cannot trust, an ally with a hidden past, and a war that keeps getting worse. Blade saves them again and again, and every time he does, the question gets louder: who is he really, and why does he seem to know the enemy better than anyone?
