Dr. Eggman finally had all seven Chaos Emeralds in his grasp, power practically humming in his hands. Then Sonic did what Sonic always does: he barged in. The emeralds went unstable mid activation, Chaos Control ripped open, and everything within miles got swallowed whole. When Sonic opens his eyes, he is not home. He is face down in a swimming pool, in a city full of humans who have never seen a blue hedgehog before. Christopher Thorndyke, twelve years old and completely unbothered by the weirdness, fishes him out and hides him in the family mansion. The authorities think Sonic is dangerous, Eggman is somewhere on this planet cooking up new trouble, and Sonic's friends are scattered God knows where. So now the fastest thing alive is stuck playing houseguest while trying to clean up a mess he caused. He has to find his friends, stop Eggman again, and figure out a way back to his own world. But can he pull all of that off without dragging the Thorndykes into the crossfire?
