Shugo Chara!
Amu Hinamori just wants to be normal. Instead, the whole school whispers about the tough, cool girl who'll punch you if you look at her wrong. She isn't like that at all, and the gap between the rumor and the real her stings every single day, until she finally wishes she could show everyone who she actually is. Next morning: three colored eggs sitting in her bed. Not breakfast. Something stranger. Out pop Ran, Miki, and Su, tiny guardian characters who can flip Amu's personality and skills on and off like a switch, magic included. Which sounds great, except now she can't always control which version of herself comes out, and the student council at Seiyo Elementary has noticed. They call themselves the Guardians, they each have a character too, and since Amu somehow has three, they hand her a job as their Joker. The work: hunting down X Eggs, hearts eggs gone dark because their owners stopped believing in themselves. So a girl who can barely say hello is now cleaning up other people's broken dreams, and the deeper she digs, the less the X Eggs look like accidents. Who is really behind all of this, and what happens when an X Egg belongs to someone Amu knows?
