Earth ran out of room, so people spread out to the planets. Then the outer colonies started to hate taking orders from home. That tension was already bad when something else showed up: the Deathcula. They didn't ask questions. They hit the settlements and killed the people living there. Earth's military threw everything at them and lost. The ships were too slow, the guns too weak. So Dr. Charles Louvre built something different: the Bismarck, a starship that changes shape mid-fight. That part is impressive. The catch is that one person cannot fly it. It needs a crew, and not just any crew. Four of them end up in the cockpit, with the outer colonies depending on them. They are the last line between the settlers and whatever comes next. But the colonies do not trust Earth, and Earth is not telling them everything. So who are these four really fighting for?
