The year is 3990 and the Pentagona system has five planets, one tyrant, and not much else. Oldna Poseidal doesn't age, doesn't lose, and doesn't leave survivors. Daba Myroad is one of the leftovers, a kid from the Yaman Clan living quietly on the backwater planet Koam with his friend Mirao. Then a pack of thieves comes for his mecha, L-Gaim, the last relic his people left behind, and the quiet part of his life ends right there. Here's the strange part. One of the bandits dies in the fight, and Daba promises the dying man he'll deliver a card stuffed with cash to a merchant named Amandara Kamandara. A promise made to a corpse. That single errand drags Daba, Mirao, an aspiring actress named Fanneria, and Lilith, the last fairy left in the whole system, straight into Kamandara's web, and that web reaches every planet and every faction worth fearing. Now the ragtag bunch is caught between people who want L-Gaim, people who want them dead, and a growing rebellion against Poseidal himself. What exactly is Amandara Kamandara hiding, and why did a dying thief trust a stranger with his last errand?
