Ryu the Primitive Boy

A baby is born with the wrong skin, and his own tribe drags him out to feed a Tyrannosaurus called Shirano. That is how Ryuu's life begins. A monkey grabs him first and raises him as her son. His mother walks away from the tribe to go looking for him. Sixteen years pass. Ryuu runs into Ran, a girl who was sold to that same tribe. They recognize him. They tie him up and pile the wood around him. Then Shirano comes back through the village, and no one survives it, not the tribe, not the monkey who raised him. Now Ryuu and Ran travel together, hunting for his mother and for her brother Don. Two kids, one dinosaur behind them, and nothing but rumor ahead. What do you do when the only family you have left is a name you have never said out loud?
