Orphen just wanted some quiet. Instead he got monsters, one after another, and a crew that never stops bickering long enough to enjoy a hot meal. Then Lycorus shows up. She says she was sent to find him, and that is all she says at first. A stranger who knows his name and won't explain why is exactly the kind of problem he does not need right now. The fighting gets worse. Something is moving behind the scenes, shadows that keep circling back to Orphen no matter how far the group travels, and Lycorus is standing right in the middle of it. Is she a guide, a trap, or something worse? He can't tell, and she isn't talking. Every new monster is easier to handle than the questions piling up around her. The team can joke their way through a battle, but this? This one follows them. So who sent Lycorus, and what happens when Orphen finally finds out why?
