Natsuza Yuzuki has been chasing a rugby ball since he was a kid, always on the left wing, and when he gets into Doushisha University he picks right up where he left off. Rising star of the Kansai league. Then a motorbike, a bad crash, a spinal hernia, and just like that the game he built his whole life around is gone. He can't play. Not ever again. So he takes the only spot left on the team: manager. Clipboard, whistle, sidelines. The squad he inherits is a mess of old grudges and unfinished business. His best friend Seiichirou, solid as a wall at full-back. Yasunari, a first-year with a temper, now wearing Natsuza's old number seven and clearly wishing the guy would just disappear. Yuu, scrambling to hold his own at scrum half. And somewhere out there is Ibuki, the genius fly-half who walked away from rugby a year ago without a word, the ace this team still can't replace. Natsuza wants a league title, and he wants Ibuki back. But can a guy who'll never touch the field again really drag a broken team, and the friend who quit on all of them, to the top?
