Yomi Takeda had one pitch nobody could touch, a magic throw she was born with. Then came a game in elementary school where her catcher couldn't hold on to it, her team lost, and a kid decided the sport wasn't worth the pain. She picked Shin Koshigaya High on purpose: no baseball club, no memories. Problem is, the sport had other plans, and so did Tamaki Yamazaki, the childhood friend she used to play catch with, now a real catcher who once caught that very pitch. Twins Yoshino and Ibuki won't leave her alone either. They eat, breathe and sleep baseball, and before Yomi can talk her way out of it, the four of them dig out an old club room and try to wake up a team that hasn't played in years. Players trickle in until the roster is full, and that's when the goal gets serious: nationals, nothing less. But a pitcher who quit once can quit again, and a school with no history has everything to prove. Can Yomi finally trust someone to catch what she throws?
