A cat named Nyatta and his big sister Nyako live out short, ugly bursts of modern life: booze, bigotry, spite, stupidity, whole afternoons wasted on nothing. The comics came from Nekojiru, and in 1999 a batch of these shorts ran inside a TV Asahi variety show, with four more episodes finished but never aired. There is no plot to follow, just a rotating showcase of everything rotten in people, delivered by cats. So who exactly was this made for: children, or the adults who recognize themselves?
