A city packed with cat people who have jobs, routines, and a serious problem with the one guy who refuses to have either. Catman does whatever he feels like, whenever he feels like it, and the neighbors keep getting caught in the fallout. He is not a rebel with a cause. He is just a cat who never learned to say no to himself. Here is the twist: this whole thing was made in Flash back in 2002, when almost nobody was doing that. There is no voice acting at all. The characters speak through subtitles, Japanese on one side and English on the other, while a soundtrack written just for the show hums underneath. Gambling, booze, cigarettes, wrecked nights. Catman is simple, honest, and completely lost in a city that swallows people whole. He gave up fighting it a long time ago and started enjoying his own helplessness instead. Sounds grim, right? But these are not people we are talking about. So what happens when a cat with nothing left to lose keeps wandering streets that were never going to let him win?
