New Year's Eve at the citadel, and the Touken Danshi are doing what anyone would do: cooking, cleaning, arguing about who gets the last dumpling. Lanterns get hung. Somebody burns the rice. For one night, swords get to act like people. Then two new blades walk through the gate. Higekiri and Hizamaru, freshly arrived, with no idea where anything is or who anyone is. Kashuu Kiyomitsu, the oldest of the bunch, gets the job of showing them around. Shishiou tags along. So do Hotarumaru and Akashi Kuniyuki. What starts as a simple tour turns into something else entirely, because new arrivals at this citadel never stay quiet for long, and the holiday plans start slipping sideways fast. Five swords, one long night, and a party that keeps refusing to go as planned. Can Kashuu keep his new charges out of trouble until the fireworks, or is this New Year already a lost cause?
