Two dorms, one island, and a feud that goes back generations. At Dahlia Academy the Black Doggies from Touwa and the White Cats from the West have been at each other's throats so long that a hallway brawl feels like a normal Tuesday. Leading the first years on each side: Romio Inuzuka, loud and stubborn, and Juliet Persia, cool as stone. Every time they pass each other, insults fly. Everyone watches. Everyone approves. Except none of it is real. Behind closed doors these two are head over heels, sneaking glances across the courtyard, planning tiny excuses to be alone. But if word gets out, their own people will turn on them, and the fragile quiet between the dorms burns down with it. So they lie. They lie to friends, to roommates, to the whole school. And it works, mostly, until it doesn't. Every festival, every group trip, every night someone else gets to spend holding hands, the two of them are stuck playing enemies in public while aching in private. The closer they get, the harder the act becomes to keep up. How long can you love someone when the only place you are allowed to say it is in whispers?
