What if the whole Gundam saga got shrunk down to four-panel comic strips? That is exactly what this 2014 series does, taking the characters you know and tossing them into short, silly gags instead of battlefield drama. Most of the familiar faces show up, but nobody is piloting anything toward victory here. Along the way there are side stories too: one puts the mobile suits themselves in human-like form, and another turns the real creation of the Gundam franchise into a dramatic tale, with Yoshiyuki Tomino and the staff and voice actors who were actually there. So how do you make a legend this ridiculous and still keep a straight face?
