Three years after the One Year War ended, the Earth Federation is still patching up the mess. Then Anavel Gato, a Zeon ace they call the Nightmare of Solomon, walks into an Australian base and steals a prototype Gundam. It carries a nuclear warhead. Just like that, the quiet breaks. A rookie test pilot named Kou Uraki climbs into the other prototype and goes after him with the carrier Albion and a crew that has never seen real combat. The stolen machine is faster, meaner, and aimed straight at the Federation's heart. Kou wants it back. Nina, the engineer who knows both suits better than anyone, watches him fly off and can barely stand it. Delaz and his old soldiers are not raiding for supplies. They want to rebuild Zeon and burn the Federation down, and they have been waiting three years for this one shot. Kou is stubborn, green, and maybe not good enough to stop a legend. So what happens when the boy in the prototype finally catches up to the man everyone else is afraid of?
