The Sonoyamas wanted a house full of kids. They were too old for that, so they picked one: a quiet, golden-haired boy named Hitori. Polite. Obedient. He hangs on their every word, and they adore him so much they shrug off the odd things he does. Because Hitori is not a boy. Hitori is a performance. Two identical twins, Migi and Dali, trade places under one name, one face, one perfectly rehearsed smile. The warm house, the doting parents, the whole cozy setup: none of it is the point. It is only the door they needed to get inside a small, sleepy town. What the twins want is buried in this town's past. Something happened once, and it left them with a hunger for payback that has not cooled since. So they keep the act going, one slip away from blowing everything. How long can two boys keep being one, before somebody starts asking the right questions?
