A demon prince with a short fuse gets sent to Tokyo with orders to hunt down rogue demons. His squad: an ice princess, a hat that talks, and a cowardly kappa who tagged along for no clear reason. Their headquarters is a school basement. It takes about five minutes for a fifth grader named Harumi to find them, and she just invites herself onto the team. Then the demons show up. A squid out for revenge. A cat that sleeps through everything. A pot of snakes, a tree that hunts after dark, and something that hates crotches. Earth is the target, and this is the crew standing in the way. Harumi turns out to be less of a liability than she looks. She is sharp, way too sharp for her age, and somehow the one holding this mess together while Enma loses his temper and the princess does whatever she wants. There is a conspiracy behind the attacks, something bigger than stray monsters. Can a prince who cannot keep his cool, a hat, and a ten year old really stop it?
