Episode 4 · Mars Red

Mars Red

Tokyo, 1923. The city hums with jazz and gaslights, but something else is moving through the back alleys. Vampires have always been here, hidden, tolerated in silence. Now their numbers are climbing fast, and it's all because of Ascra, a synthetic blood that someone is selling on the black market. So the army does the unthinkable. Unit 16, a propaganda outfit with no combat experience, gets repurposed overnight into a vampire-hunting squad called Code Zero. Colonel Yoshinobu Maeda runs it. His orders: find whoever is pushing Ascra, and put down every vampire he can. There's just one detail that makes this whole thing insane. Most of his soldiers are vampires themselves. They're learning to use powers they never asked for, and every day they spend among humans reminds them they don't belong there anymore. The brass wants results, the public wants someone to blame, and the unit is one bad report away from being shut down. Maeda's people are hunting their own kind while their own hunger claws at them from the inside. Can a squad of monsters hold the line, or is the darkness in their blood already winning?
