Major 2nd
Daigo Shigeno has baseball in his blood. His dad is Gorou, a star. So in fourth grade, Daigo marches straight onto the Mifune Dolphins, the same little league team his father once played on, ready to become a legend himself. A couple of practices later, reality hits. The kid can't field, can't hit, and everyone can see it. Under the weight of a name he never asked for, he walks away before the year is even out. Then a transfer student lands in his sixth grade class: Hikaru Sato. Son of Toshiya Sato, Gorou's old friend and rival on the diamond. When the Dolphins call begging for players, Daigo's mother drags him to the field. Hikaru is there too. And here's the kicker: the boy has never touched a baseball in his life. Yet the first time he swings, it all just clicks. Daigo has spent years grinding and has nothing to show for it. Hikaru picks up a glove and looks like a natural. Two kids, two famous fathers, the same field pulling them in opposite directions. Will this collision push Daigo back into the game, or bury him for good?
