Yuuri finally beat Shinou, and that should have been the end of it. Except beating him meant the portal between worlds slammed shut. No more Shin Makoku. No more demon kingdom. Just a regular kid stuck on the wrong side of a door that would not open. Then something strange happens: the power he absorbed from Shinou is enough. He can get back on his own now, no borrowed magic required. So he returns after his coming-of-age ceremony, sixteen years old and ready to pick up where he left off. But the throne is not waiting for him. The Council of Ten already picked a new Maou while he was gone. Wolfram.
