Nishi has been in love with Myon since he was nine. Never said a word about it. Then one night he spots her on the subway, and when she leaps through the closing doors at the last second, her ankle gets caught and crushed between them. So he walks her home. Except Myon is engaged to someone else, and the fiancé is waiting at her family's yakitori place. Then the Yakuza kick the door in and it all goes to hell. Nishi tries to step in. They kill him. Dead, he opens his eyes and comes face to face with a god who keeps changing shape and laughs at him for how he went out. The god points at a portal and says: step in, stop existing. Nishi runs past him instead, straight back into his own body. This time he knows exactly what is coming. He takes one of the yakuza's guns, drops the guy with it, and tears off in a stolen car with Myon and her sister. The trunk is stuffed with money and drugs. There is a whale out there too, a big one, and somewhere inside it lives an old man. Can a guy who could not even manage a confession get himself, two girls and one stubborn old man out of this alive?
