Jinki: Extend
Aoba spends her days gluing together tiny robot models at the kitchen table. Just her and her grandmother, until the old woman dies and the house goes quiet. Then men show up. They grab her, take her somewhere she has never seen, and that is where she finds it: a machine so tall it fills the entire hangar. At the base, piloted robots are sent out to fight the Ancient Jinki across a place called the Grand Savanna. Everyone talks about the battles like they matter. Nobody explains why. Aoba scrubs floors, hauls parts, does whatever they ask, because the only way to get real answers is to climb inside one of those cockpits herself. But the people running the base clearly knew about her long before she ever set foot there. What did they actually bring her in for?
