Inuyashiki: Last Hero

Ichirou Inuyashiki is 58, and his back hurts all the time. That's not the worst part. His wife and kids look right through him, and the only one who seems glad he exists is a stray Shiba Inu he took in. Then a doctor gives him stomach cancer and three months. He tries to hold it together. He can't. He runs out into a field, grabs his dog, and cries. Then the sky lights up. A blinding flash, smoke, dust, and when he opens his eyes he's not the same man. He's a machine wearing his own skin, and the first thing he does with it is save someone's life. It makes him happier than he's been in years. But he has no idea who fired that light at him, or what else came out of it. The same gift landed on someone else too. So here's the thing: when you get handed that much power, do you use it the way Ichirou does?
