Soccer in Japan is finally free. After the long fight against the Fifth Sector, Tenma and his Raimon friends can breathe again, and now they get the call every player dreams about: a spot on Inazuma Japan, the national team, for a brand new worldwide tournament. Then the coach reads out the rest of the roster. Eight kids. Eight total beginners who have never kicked a ball in their lives. The locker room goes quiet. Tenma, Shindou and Tsurugi have to drag these rookies up to the level of the best teams on the planet, match by match, and the clock is not waiting for anyone. What starts as a messy experiment slowly turns into something real, something worth protecting. But the tournament is not what it looks like from the stands. Something far bigger is waiting behind the final whistle, something nobody on that field could possibly imagine. Can a team stitched together from strangers survive long enough to find out what the universe has planned for them?
