Ayumi Arihara has one wish: for a boy to confess to her. That's the whole key to happiness, as far as she's concerned. Then a letter arrives from Misao Zaitsu, a guy so huge and so scary that her dream turns into a nightmare on the spot. She's so wrecked by it that she passes out right in the middle of class. A classmate scoops her up and carries her to the infirmary like she's in some fairy tale, and just like that, she's in love. Cute boy, gentle, everything she wanted. Small problem: he's Mamoru, Misao's younger brother. Now she's stuck between the guy who confessed and the guy she actually likes, with no clue how to get out of it. And she isn't the only one tangled up in this mess. Her friends are all fumbling through their own first loves, and every new story drags in someone from the one before, until the whole school is a knot of crushes and misunderstandings. So who does Ayumi pick when picking anyone means hurting someone else?
