Mao's been gone two years, off in France, and now she's back. Kouichi barely gets used to seeing her again before his mother drops the news: Mao's parents are staying overseas, so she's moving in with them. Same house. Same hallway. Same breakfast table. School starts, and that's when things get messy. Old feelings don't just sit quietly, and new ones show up anyway. Kouichi and Kazuki, friends since forever, both start looking at Mao differently, and neither one says it out loud. There's a girl who likes Kouichi. There's a girl Kazuki can't stop thinking about. Nobody means to hurt anybody, and somehow that makes it worse. The three of them keep meeting at the same spots, walking home the same way, pretending nothing's changed. It's not working. So who ends up confessing first, and who gets left standing there?
