Spring again. New uniforms, new classrooms, and for Haruki Mishima and Towa Honda, the same old problem: girls. Haruki has been carrying a torch for Miharu Mashiki since they were kids, and one night at the convenience store near school, she walks in and it all comes rushing back. Towa, meanwhile, has his sights set on Mami Mihashi, the class rep. She barely looks at him. So the two friends start showing up at that little store for reasons they would never admit out loud. Ice cream after practice. The weekly gaming magazine. Ingredients for a cooking club project. Everyone has a habit, a snack, a person they are hoping to run into by the drink cooler. Haruki hangs back and says nothing, Towa keeps pushing and gets nowhere, and somehow the months keep sliding by anyway. Then the reasons start to shift, quietly, without anyone announcing it. The store stops being a place they pass through and becomes the place where things almost happen. Will either of them ever actually say it out loud, or is this just where they keep coming back to not say it?
