There is an old saying up in Hokkaido: if a couple watches diamond dust fall together, they will find happiness that lasts forever. Six girls live under that same cold sky. A shy waitress, a nurse, a student, a woman stuck in a job she hates. Their loves and friendships and arguments have nothing to do with each other. Or so it seems. Then the ice crystals start drifting down, and each girl stands somewhere different, with someone different, or alone. A confession goes wrong. A promise gets broken. One of them keeps waiting for a man who may never come back. None of them knows the others exist. What ties them together is not fate and not magic. It is the same small legend, the same long winter, and the same stubborn hope that happiness is out there somewhere. But if the diamond dust only works for two people who truly love each other, what happens to the one who sees it by herself?
