Christmas 2029, and Japan is buzzing with tech money while something rotten grows in the basements below. Scrooge wakes up in one of those labs, his body cut open and rebuilt, and walks out over the guards he kills to get free. Then he runs into Carol, another kid with a file and a number instead of a name. They could just split up and take their chances. They don't. Three chasers corner them, and they aren't ordinary. Carol grabs his right arm and tells him to pull a weapon out of her. He does. Something comes out of her body, and after that nothing is the same for either of them. The two of them against a facility that has owned them for years, on the one night the whole country is about to fall apart. Can two escaped experiments actually walk out of that place, or were they only ever meant to be raw material?
