Ghost Hound
Something is off in Suiten. A priest's daughter keeps seeing things that aren't there. Spirits wander the mountains like they own them. And Tarou Komori can't sleep without dreaming of the day he was taken, eleven years ago, though his waking mind refuses to hold onto a single clear detail. The memories only come back once his eyes close, and lately they bring company: places and faces that don't belong to any dream. That's when it stops being just bad dreams. Tarou and two other boys with their own broken pasts, Makoto and Masayuki, start slipping across the line between the town everyone sees and the one hiding underneath it. The invisible world isn't a copy of Suiten. It's where the ghosts live. Something has shifted at the border, and now the dead are pushing through into streets, houses, ordinary afternoons. Three kids, one buried kidnapping, a town with two faces. Can they mend the tear between the worlds before whatever is on the other side decides to stay?
