Episode 1 · Gestalt

Gestalt

A priest walks away from his order and sails toward an island everyone else pretends does not exist. They just call it G, because saying the god's real name out loud is supposed to bring down a curse. Long ago that god got kicked out of heaven and settled there. Father Oliver wants to know what actually happened. Then he picks up a traveling companion: a girl named Ohri who looks harmless and throws magic around like it is nothing. Word gets back to his old order, and they send a dark elf named Suzu to drag him home. She finds him fast. What she does not count on is Ohri, who swats her aside without breaking a sweat and keeps walking with the priest. So now it is the two of them against an island full of monsters and sorcerers who would rather they turned around. Suzu is still out there too, and she does not seem like the type to stay down. How far does a man get on faith alone when the place he is heading to was built to keep a god locked away?
