Mo Fan just revealed the rarest element in school, lightning, and it nearly cost him everything. Beating Yu Ang in that duel should have been a clean win, but the secret is out now, and everyone knows what he can do. His reward? Seven days inside the Underground Holy Spring, a place said to push a mage's power far beyond ordinary limits. Seven days. That's all he gets. Then the monsters show up. Out of nowhere, tearing through Bo City, which shouldn't be possible. The border defenses are supposed to hold. They don't. With the city in chaos, Mo Fan is handed a tiny bottle, the entire spring condensed down, and told to get it to a refuge zone. Simple job, except the road there is crawling with bloodthirsty beasts. And the Black Order is watching, ready to snatch the spring for themselves. So he has to run, fight, and keep that bottle out of the wrong hands while the whole city falls apart around him. Can Mo Fan make it to the refuge before everything he's carrying ends up with the people who want him dead?
