Sistine Fibel is a standout at the Alzano Imperial Magic Academy, and she has her sights set on a floating castle in the sky. Nobody knows what the thing is or why it hangs there, but she intends to crack it open. Her best friend Rumia tags along, bright-eyed, carrying a past she does not talk about. Then their favorite teacher quits. In walks Glenn Radars, recommended by a famous witch, and he is a slob. He slouches, he yawns through lessons, he treats magic like a chore. Sistine cannot fathom why anyone would hand a classroom to this guy. Except the theory he spouts is flawless, and the lazy act starts to look like a costume. Meanwhile something ugly is stirring inside the empire, and the three of them keep landing in its path. Sistine's sky castle, Rumia's buried history, Glenn's real face: none of it lines up yet, but the threads keep tangling tighter. What is Glenn hiding, and why does he seem to know more about the castle than he lets on?
