Mao Ran looks like any other cute girl you might pass on the street. Under that sweet smile she hides something else entirely: a brutal fighting style passed down through the Mao family for generations. Years of hard training, years of scraps against fighters from other schools. She never wanted any of it. She wanted a quiet life. Then her own grandfather pulls a fast one on her. Before she can say no, Ran is shoved into the Prime Mat, a fighting tournament she has zero interest in. She steps into the ring grudgingly, throwing punches just to get it over with. Somewhere along the way, though, something flips. The rivals, the sweat, the roar of the crowd: she starts craving it, and that scares her more than any opponent. Now a fighter with ambitions as big as hers is coming for her family's name, and Ran has to decide whether the hunger she just discovered is a gift or a trap. Can she really walk away from the ring when every punch she lands feels this good?
