Seven high schools in Kanto are locked in a permanent war, and every student who steps into the ring carries the soul of a warrior from the Three Kingdoms era, bound to a stone that maps out their fate. Hakufu Sonsaku just moved to Japan. She is bubbly, a little dim, and hits like a truck. She has also been marked for death while she is still young, and the one who is supposed to do it is not exactly waiting around. Her cousin Koukin gets handed the job of keeping her alive, which would be easier if Hakufu did not black out during fights and wake up surrounded by wreckage. Whatever is inside her does not care who gets hurt. It could be the thing that unites the schools, or the thing that kills her first. Nanyou's Big Four are along for the ride, mostly because there is no other choice. Rival schools keep moving, the stones keep pulling strings, and Hakufu keeps grinning like none of it worries her. Can Koukin keep her breathing long enough to figure out what she actually is?
