A high school that looks like paradise. It is not. The Moon Cell computer built Tsukimihara Academy for one purpose: to host the next Holy Grail War. Two hundred fifty six souls with a talent for magic get pulled in from Earth. Only half of them are picked as Masters and handed a Servant. The rest? The Academy switches on a purge and hunts them down. Hakuno Kishinami wakes up lying in his own blood. He has no memories. None. He should be dead, and he refuses to be. Something like hatred pushes him to his feet, and as he runs from the thing chasing him, he spots a crimson blade stuck in the ground. He grabs it. The sword calls Saber, a girl who cuts his pursuer apart in a storm of rose petals. Now he has power, and he has no idea why he hates this place so much. To get answers he has to fight his way to the core of the Moon Cell, the Angelica Cage, killing other Masters along the way, each one chasing a wish that will absolutely come true. What did Hakuno forget, and what did he do to deserve that pool of blood?
