Episode 1 · Drucker in the Dugout

Drucker in the Dugout

Minami's best friend Yuuki is stuck in a hospital bed, which means the baseball team suddenly has no manager. So Minami steps in. She knows nothing about running a club, so she heads to a bookstore looking for something, anything, on how to manage a baseball team. She grabs the wrong book. Peter Drucker's Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices. A business textbook. No returns, no refunds, so she reads the thing anyway, cover to cover, and starts treating the baseball club like a company: goals, customers, results. The players have no idea what hit them. Now she's trying to drag a ragtag high school team all the way to Nationals using lessons meant for boardrooms. Can a book about office management really turn a losing baseball club into champions?
