Three months after his first visit, Cinque Izumi is pulled back into Flonyard like no time passed at all. Same green fields, same floating islands, same friends waiting. Only this time he does not arrive alone. His cousin Nanami and his childhood friend Rebecca get yanked along with him, and both of them are about to find out that being a summoned hero is not a spectator sport. Here is the twist. The three of them do not end up on the same side. Cinque goes back to Biscotti, but Nanami is claimed by the Galette Lion Dominion, and Rebecca takes up the hero's role for the Principality of Pastillage after Princess Couvert asks her personally. Three friends, three nations. So now they train, they compete, and they face each other across the field, all while something bigger stirs underneath the festivals and the athletic games they love so much. Secrets are piling up and nobody is saying who is really behind them. Can these three keep having fun when the next match might put them on opposite sides for good?
