After the bloodbath in the Re-Estize capital, the Guardians of Nazarick head home to their master. Ainz Ooal Gown has spent months quietly setting pieces on the board, and now the machinery of conquest finally starts to turn. Meanwhile, far from the throne room, life just keeps going: Carne Village, the little place Ainz once pulled back from the brink, is somehow thriving, and in the Baharuth Empire a certain Bloody Emperor has begun to watch the rising shadow in the east with real interest. Then the twist lands in his own court. Demiurge and the other floor guardians aren't waiting for orders anymore. They've decided their master deserves the whole world, and they intend to hand it to him whether he asked for it or not. So Ainz keeps bluffing his way through a plan he never actually made, nodding along while everyone around him reads genius into every careless word. And somewhere underground, a crew of workers is sent to poke around the Great Tomb, which is about as smart as sticking your hand into a dragon's mouth. Blood gets spilled. Heroes go down. Nations get redrawn. So who exactly is left standing when the dust settles, and does Ainz even want the crown his own people are carving for him?
