E-Rantel used to hum with traders. Now the stalls sit half empty, because nobody wants to do business in a city ruled by a walking skeleton. Ainz Ooal Gown sends Albedo to smooth things over. Good luck with that. Across the continent, the cardinals of the Slane Theocracy are still nursing their wounds and cooking up a plan: let the Baharuth Empire swallow the Sorcerer Kingdom for them. Emperor Jircniv meets their messengers in a colosseum, away from prying eyes. Then Ainz walks in. So much for secrets. Before anyone can recover, Ainz challenges the Warrior King, the empire's strongest fighter, to a duel. Jircniv has no idea why. He can only sit there and watch the future of humanity tilt on its axis. Somewhere underneath all the scheming, a former office worker is trying to run a country, and he is painfully aware he is making it up as he goes. His only real comfort is the NPCs who treat him like a god. Can a man who still thinks like a salaryman convince an entire world to stop fearing him?
