Do It Yourself!!
Serufu trips over her own bike and eats pavement on the way to school. A stranger with a toolbox patches her up, and that stranger turns out to run the last club at Gatagata High where anybody still makes things with their hands. Everything else in this world is robots: homework, chores, probably breakfast. So the club is one member from being shut down. Here's the thing. Serufu's childhood friend Purin got into the fancy tech school and Serufu didn't, and now they barely talk. Purin builds circuits. Serufu can barely build a shelf. She joins the club anyway, thinking maybe a project, something real she made herself, could get Purin back. What she doesn't expect is Rei graduating soon and the whole thing falling apart while she's still learning which end of the hammer to hold. Saws, glue, bent nails, a lot of failed drafts. Serufu keeps showing up, keeps messing up, keeps going. Will she finish anything at all, and does Purin even want to be found?
