A rich guy named Valenstinos hires Joe and his crew to haul a frozen girl across the galaxy. Elena Scorland. Heiress to one of the biggest industrial empires out there, and she got sick right before she could take the reins. The job is simple: get her to Mikkola, let the doctors do their thing. Talos, Alfin and Ricky tag along like always. Crushers take any job if the money is right. Then the ship gets flung millions of light years off course. Nobody knows why. When the dust settles, Elena is gone, her escorts are gone, and Joe's team is standing in the wreckage with military guns pointed at their heads. Piracy charges. Somebody set this up, and space pirates are the obvious suspects. Joe does not like being used as a patsy. So he goes after them. All the way to their home turf. What follows is dogfights, things blowing up, and fists flying when the lasers run dry. But who tipped off the pirates about the route in the first place, and why would anyone want an unconscious heiress that badly?
