Shinichi Kudo is seventeen and already famous. Police call him the modern Sherlock Holmes, and he has closed cases that grown detectives couldn't. Then one evening, walking home after a date with Ran, he spots two men acting strange and follows them into the dark. What he sees is a crime. What happens next is worse: they catch him, force a pill down his throat, and leave him for dead. But he wakes up alive. Alive, and seven years old. His brain is untouched, everything else shrank. So he moves in with Ran and her father, a private detective with more bluster than skill, and starts feeding the old man answers from the shadows. Kogoro gets the credit. Conan gets the truth. Somewhere out there, the men who did this are still working, still wearing black. Can a kid in elementary school take down a criminal organization before it figures out who he really is?
