The Armed Detective Agency needs a second in command, and the names are already being thrown around the office. Kunikida wants no part of the chatter. He has his day mapped out in his notebook, every errand slotted in its place, and he intends to follow it to the letter. Then the bomb goes off. Now the man who lives by plans and ideals is standing in front of a choice no schedule could have prepared him for: one life on one side, hundreds on the other. Dazai, as always, is somewhere nearby making everything harder than it needs to be. Kunikida built his whole life on the belief that a perfect plan can save everyone. What happens when the numbers refuse to add up?
