Fukuoka looks calm enough from the outside. Neat streets, good food, people minding their own business. Then night falls and the place shows its other face: hitmen, detectives, revenge specialists, all working the same dark corners. One rule down there, live or die. Zenji Banba is a laidback detective nosing around the local hitman outfits, but he is not the only one with a grudge against them. Xianming Lin, a crossdressing killer on their payroll, is fed up. No work, no pay, and when a target offs himself before Lin can get to him, the company refuses to hand over even half the fee. So Lin asks for a new job. They give him Banba. He walks into the detective's apartment, ready to finish it. Then he does something nobody saw coming: he puts a different offer on the table. Team up instead. Now there is a rumor going around about a killer of killers, someone the city legends say never leaves a trace. Two men who should be enemies start poking at the same mystery. What does Lin really want out of Fukuoka's underworld, and can Banba trust a guy who was sent to put him in the ground?
