As a kid, Ryouta Murakami followed a girl named Kuroneko into the woods. She swore she had seen aliens out there, and he did not believe a word of it. Then came the accident. She died. He woke up in a hospital bed, badly broken, carrying the guilt ever since. Years later he is just a high schooler with a stubborn promise: prove Kuroneko was not making things up. Then a new girl walks into his classroom. Neko Kuroha. Same face. Almost the same name. She claims they have never met, and she can do things no person should be able to do, like see what has not happened yet. That is when the hunters show up. Scientists with a secret lab want their runaway witches back, and Neko is one of them. There are others too, scattered and scared, and Ryouta keeps putting himself between them and the people hunting them down. He is only one guy. So how long can he keep this up before the lab decides to come for him too?
