Two years of quiet. No aragami, no alarms, the Terrestrial Administration Center scattered to the winds and its people off living ordinary lives. Japan rebuilt and moved on. Momiji and Mamoru, though, can barely stand in the same room anymore, and whatever was between them is fraying fast. Then a red-haired woman named Valencia Tachibana steps off a plane from San Francisco with a problem nobody in Japan wants to hear. A rogue scientist out there has cracked something ugly: a way to grow aragami without Susanoo's power behind it. He calls them Neo-Aragami, and they are already tearing up California. Washington has no one who understands these things, so they come knocking on the door of a disbanded agency and its burned-out veterans. The old crew has to suit up one more time, and Momiji gets dragged back into the fight she thought was finished. Who is really pulling the strings behind this new breed of monster, and what does he want with Momiji?
