Sixty years ago, people stopped sleeping. Not for a night. For over a week. Their minds snapped, and the cure meant to save them turned them into vampires instead. A war followed, humans won, and the survivors went into hiding. Mi Liu is what came after: half human, half vampire, and everyone calls him the Child of Hope, the one who might finally bridge two species that want each other dead. So what does he do with that destiny? He robs banks. He gets caught, and the National Defense Agency ships him off to a prison built specifically for vampires. He and Anji try to claw their way out, and that is when the monsters show up. Things with too many teeth, coming out of the dark, and no explanation for any of it. Then Mi Liu learns where he is. Blue Town. The old capital. The place where vampires supposedly began. Why would the government lock vampires inside their own birthplace? And what are those creatures hunting them through the corridors?
