A fight in Arkham Asylum goes sideways fast. Batman tries to smash Gorilla Grodd's Quake Engine, it hums, and the whole building blinks out of Gotham with him still inside. He lands on a dirt road. The buildings are wood. The swords are real. He is in feudal Japan, and within minutes samurai are trying to cut him down. Then the pieces fall into place. The kill order comes from the Joker, who has been here two years already. Every inmate got scattered across the map, each one carving out his own little kingdom, and Joker sits on top as warlord. Catwoman fills in the rest. Batman's only way home is the Quake Engine, locked away inside what used to be the asylum and is now Arkham Castle. No Batmobile. No plane. Mostly just a belt and his head, plus a bat-family that has grown since he last counted. So how does a man with no gadgets take down a castle full of his worst enemies?
